Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Sales & Marketing Director to lead the expansion of dFarm’s innovative Ag SCM solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of agriculture, technology, and supply chain processes, as well as a track record of successfully growing B2B client bases in similar fields. This role will be crucial in scaling our presence, establishing strategic partnerships, and positioning dFarm as a leading Ag SCM technology provider globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for dFarm’s AIMS™ platform and other Ag SCM solutions to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.
- Identify and prioritize key markets and customer segments, building pipelines to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Lead a sales team, providing guidance and support through training, goal setting, and regular performance evaluations.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across agriculture, logistics, retail, and financial sectors to drive dFarm’s growth in strategic markets.
- Partner with operations and product teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and integration with dFarm’s platform.
- Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop a brand positioning and go-to-market strategy that clearly communicates dFarm’s unique value proposition to target audiences.
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns, content creation, and demand-generation activities to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Drive lead-generation initiatives and implement account-based marketing approaches tailored to high-potential clients and sectors.
- Manage the creation of collateral, case studies, presentations, and white papers that highlight dFarm’s innovative solutions and client success stories.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, optimizing for maximum ROI across campaigns.
- Product & Market Insights:
- Gather feedback from customers and market trends to provide actionable insights to the product development team, ensuring dFarm’s offerings align with client needs and industry shifts.
- Stay informed on industry developments, competitive products, and innovations in Ag SCM, and position dFarm effectively within this landscape.
- Strategic Partnerships & Business Development:
- Identify and establish strategic alliances with industry leaders, government bodies, and NGOs to enhance dFarm’s brand and extend our reach in key markets.
- Represent dFarm at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting our solutions and expanding our network of potential clients and partners.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Track, analyze, and report on sales and marketing metrics, making data-driven recommendations to refine strategies.
- Provide regular reports and presentations to the executive team, summarizing achievements, challenges, and upcoming initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with at least 5 years in technology-driven agriculture or supply chain solutions.
- Demonstrated success in growing B2B sales, particularly within the agriculture, supply chain, or ERP industries.
- Strong understanding of agriculture, Ag SCM, and digital solutions; familiarity with AIMS™-style or ERP platforms is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and digital marketing platforms.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate metrics into actionable strategies.
